How to Reach for the Balloon at the Palace
- By Bus: You can take the bus routes 8, 81, and 88, whose stops include the Madinat Jumeirah. It is where the Jumeirah Al Qasr is located. You can go to their lobby and ask a staff member for directions to the Sunset Lounge on the fifth floor of the hotel.
- By Metro: You need to travel to the Mall of Emirates station, and from there, you can either take a taxi or a short bus ride to the destination.
- By Taxi or others: There are taxis and online cabs available for rides. Or you can also travel in your personal vehicle.
Important Information
- You should carry your Emirates ID or passport for verification purposes.
- You can wear comfortable smart casuals for the entire plan.
- In case there is bad weather, the ride may be canceled or rescheduled.
- Pregnant women, elderly people, and people with a fear of heights or suffering from respiratory issues are advised to seek medical consultation before going on a hot air balloon ride.
- However, no child below five years old is allowed to fly in a hot air balloon. It applies the same for older people over 70 years.
- In case of partial or unused services, there are no refunds.
- You are not allowed to eat, drink, or smoke inside the private vehicle.
- You cannot carry outside food and drink to any of the destinations.
- There are early-bird discounts that can be availed on booking in advance.
- You can bring hats and sunglasses to stay protected from the heat.
- Make sure you arrive at the lobby of the hotel at least 15 minutes before the booking time.
- There’s a maximum weight limit of 119 kg. If you exceed this weight limit, you need a pilot’s approval and pay extra charges.
Cancellation Policy
- You are eligible for a 100% refund if you cancel your booking at least 48 hours before the tour departure time.
- However, if you cancel the booking within 48 hours of the tour departure, there are 100% cancellation charges and no refund.
- In case you are eligible for a refund, you will receive it within 5 to 11 business days to the original payment method used.

- Children younger than 5 years old and people older than 70 years old are not permitted to fly.
